Celts: the untold story

Delighted to let you know that Celts: The Untold Story is now streaming on TV in America!

I was really honoured to recently contribute to the new three-part series. It focusses on new research on the Iron Age in Central Europe.

The three episodes of “Celts: the untold story” focus on the community/culture’s establishment, their art and war, and their demise, respectively.

As you may know, my passion and area of specialism is hillforts and the Iron Age, so I am so pleased to have been involved in this show. You’ll see me in all three episodes, alongside host Dr Karen Bellinger and other prominent academics in this field.

Accordingly, much of the series was filmed in Central Europe. Significantly, it features some spectacular re-enactment and reconstruction scenes and rare views of important artefacts and sites, as well as contributions from leading archaeologists .

However, my scenes were filmed much closer to home at the stunning Brynkinalt Hall. The historic property is just down the road from where I grew up in the Ceiriog Valley, near Chirk.

It is currently streaming on Curiosity Stream. This channel was launched in 2015 by the founder of the Discovery Channel. It’s not yet airing in the UK, but I’ll let you know when it is!
