In search of Wales’ ancient lost city
Delighted to let you know that I’ll be on this week’s episode of Weatherman Walking again – this time in search of an ancient lost city!

This week I am in the tiny Monmouthshire village of Trellech, or Treleck, which has a surprising number of historical monuments. From standing stones and an ancient well, to medieval fishponds, a Motte and Bailey castle, plus a gorgeous old pub and what one man believes is a lost medieval city. And he has spent two decades trying to prove it!

I visit the village and the excavation site to hear more about his story and see what he has uncovered. Plus I get to dig up some of the past myself!

Later in the show I meet up with Derek and Matt to hear about what they’d been up to. As well as messing about on the river, we get to sample some of Matt’s creations from his foraging foray.

As ever, it was an absolute delight working with Derek, Matt and the crew. It is a fantastic series and I hope you’re enjoying watching it as much as we enjoy making it.

This week’s episode will be on BBC1 Wales Friday 6th May at 7.30pm, and you can also watch the episodes and lots of clips on BBC iPlayer here.
